Eva Besnyö was born in Hungary in 1910. She married Dutch photographer John Fernhout (the man with the camera) in 1933. In 1946 Eva married graphic designer Wim Brusse. Eva Besnyö started with photography when she was 18 years old. She moved to Berlin and made some great photos of buildings, people and foremost of shadows and lining. Her most famous photo however is the one below, ‘The boy with the cello’. In 2003 she died.
